Technology had changed the way we use transportation.
Transport has changed a lot since horses and wagons, nowadays it's a lot safer than it was in the past.
transportation is a lot safer now because if we crashed a car we would probably be much safer than if we crashed in a horse wagon because we would probably go flying out of the wagon.

How she reacted to the challenge: makes a plan with scott to get out of the home with her sister and nephew
Words that best describe martha: resilient, because she haad a bad home and worked hard to get out. hopeful, she was hoping her sister would come back and get her and her son. curious, because she was curious what life was like for her sister.

how to win badminton
For the past week, we have been playing badminton in P.E and today I am going to teach you how to win a game of badminton You can play badminton in singles or pairs. There are smaller lines for a single match and bigger lines for a doubles match. if you hit the shuttlecock over to the opposite side, and they don't hit, but it lands within the court lines, you score a point. If a server is unsuccessful in hitting the shuttlecock over the net, or the serve doesn't go diagonal, it's a point to the other team and they get the next serve. if you hit the shuttlecock out of the lines/court, it's a point to the other team.

Science
Contraction (Imploding can) Imploding in on itself,it is like exploding but instead of going out it goes in on itself. Because all the air escapes so quickly that new air doesnt have enough time to go in and replace the previous air.
Expansion (ball and hoop) Things getting bigger from heat, the ball expanded so much that it couldn't get through the hoop anymore.
Conduction (dropping pins) heat traveling slowly through an object causing the pins to fall in order. Because the ting holding the pin was very thin and brittle which makes it easy to vibrate and cause the pins to fall.
Convection in liquid (permanganate crystal in water) heat traveling through a liquid causing the water to change colour.
Convection in gas (tea bag rockets) heat traveling through a gas causing the tea bag to rise into the air and slowly float down.

My DTE mobile app
My team was making an app to help people directly and help them in the native New Zealand bush. I have done some research on how to build shelters, traps, fishing, hunting, how to get food, water, how to start a fire, etc. Rhys has been working on how to filter water and how to make bait traps. I have done the app development for our team and have been doing all of the codings in our team but I have also helped levi and Rhys because I am the leader in our group.

semester 1 ICT
Semester 1 ICT
This semester in ICT we learned excel, publisher, and word. I have no proof of my publisher or excel work because Shikarn and Kadyn kept turning off my computer. but I have proof of my word work. I moved from cooking in term two. I thought excel was cool because it has stuff like auto sum and stuff so it's like a more complex and bigger calculator. we learned how to type in word, and we learned how to use publisher in publisher.

science
at science today we made dirty water by putting lots of solute in it and we left it for about a week and now we have tipped half of the water out and poured clean water in to make it cleaner and we did that twice.
To make dirty water and change it back to clean water.
So first we put all the solute in the beaker then we added the solvent into the beaker then we had the solution after that we diluted the water the we filtered it then we got the filtrate and after all of that we got the final solution.Yes our experiment did work and honestly it is pretty surprising to me that it did and I am very proud of our experiment. Yes I would try my best next time and I would try harder by making it more complicated for me and hopefully after that we would at least have fun with a challenge.
Today in science we were doing the dirty water experiment the point was to dilute the dirty water that we had in the beaker. Today we diluted the dirty water and made a filtering system to fully clean the dirty water.
Before we diluted the water it was looking really dark and murky it was really hard to see through to the other side of the glass and it looked like some grabbed a pile of dirt and a spoon full of water. It did not look well. When we diluted the water we had to do it two times and it was fun the first time we did it, it looked like nothing had been done to it but the second time we did it there was a big change in colour.
We made the filtering system with a base retort stand two funnels filtering paper and filtering cloth. It was really fun and easy to make I had a lot of fun making it with my friend Odin and I wish to do this experiment again another time.
To make the water we had to go outside and get 2 spoonfuls of dirt one spoonful of pebbles and 100 ml of oil and then after all of that we added 100 ml of water and then we stirred until finally we had the outcome of the project and it came to be dirty water.
We diluted the water by tipping out 100 ml of the dirty water then adding clean water and then finally after doing the process a second time to dilute the water we got most the dirt out of the beaker and having the dirty water diluted.
To filter the water we used filter paper and filter cloth and we pored the dirty water into the funnels and made them go through twice so they would go back to being clear water. And it was really cool doing the experiment.

Athletics day
Athletics events that I have learnt this term, are shot put, discus, 100m sprint, long jump, high jump, relay
List one technique helpful for each event:
For shot put a tip I would give is to push and not throw, for discus try throwing and not pushing, for 100 metres run as fast as you can, for high jump try jumping on your side and not straight on, for relay try running as fast as possible.
List your results for these events in PE or on athletics day
For high jump I jumped 80 cm
and for discus I threw 6.80m
Did you bring your PE gear each session? No
Did you participate each week? Yes
